Chair

I am honoured and humbled to be Chair of Governors at Laisterdyke Leadership Academy. Being part of the Local Accountability Board is an incredibly rewarding experience. We have a dedicated team of volunteers who selflessly devote their time to support the Principal and senior leadership team to deliver on the academy’s mission of educational excellence, character development and service to communities. We also work hard to ensure that the academy’s leadership specialism equips our pupils with the skills required to secure the best places at university and can progress onto high-flying careers.

The Local Accountability Board acts as a “critical friend,” making sure that our pupils’ needs always take precedence and the academy offers a high quality of pastoral care.  Working closely with staff, pupils, parents, the local community and other Star schools, we aim to “nurture today’s young people and inspire tomorrow’s leaders,” encouraging our pupils achieve to the very best of their ability and play a productive role in society.
