A Laisterdyke Leadership Academy pupil has been congratulated on 100% attendance over five years at our school.

Zaineb Nazir didn’t miss a single day of learning between Year 7 and Year 11. And Zaineb, now in Year 12, is on track for 100% attendance in the current academic year too.

Zaineb, who currently studies Biology, RE, Sociology and Psychology at A-level, said,

“I really enjoy coming to school every day. There have been times over the last five years where I have felt a little unwell but I was resilient. I’ve had support from my mum and the school to enable me to achieve 100% attendance. I am immensely proud of this achievement and hope I am an inspiration to others.”

16 year old Zaineb was given an award in recognition of her achievement at our annual Achievement Awards last month. This annual presentation evening celebrates and recognises the achievements and efforts of Laisterdyke’s current and former pupils. Over 250 pupils and their guests attended the event held at Aagrah Midpoint, Bradford.

School Principal Paul Johnson commented,

“It’s clear that Zaineb is committed to her studies and loves being in school at Laisterdyke. She is a great role model and sets a wonderful example to her peers. Well done, Zaineb!”
