Celebrations are underway at Laisterdyke Leadership Academy after pupils received their GCSE results.

Pupils collected their results in school today where they celebrated with staff and parents before they progress onto the next stage of their education or training.

Fatima Kazmi, who was one of the school’s highest achievers, received a fantastic set of GCSE results. Fatima, who aspires to pursue a medical career, achieved two grade 9s, one grade 8 and three grade 7s. Fatima will continue her education at a local college where she will study A levels.

Fellow pupil, Usman Rashid was overjoyed with his results after securing nine GCSEs. Usman’s results included three grade 8s and three grade 7s. He is now looking forward to enrolling at college to study A levels. On receiving his superb grades, Usman said:

“I am delighted with my results today and feel that my hard work has been rewarded.”

Iqra Firdous has shown remarkable resilience to achieve her nine GCSEs. Iqra was delighted to achieve a grade 9 in English and will continue her studies at college in September.
